Overlooking the banks of the Macintyre River, Goondiwindi is located on the Western Downs border of Queensland and New South Wales, establishing itself as a sought after place to live and visit.

Goondiwindi is a contemporary town with all the amenities you could want or need. The town itself boasts a wide range of shopping, dining, accommodation and entertainment, and an enviable natural environment.

Agricultural production is the mainstay of the local economy with cotton, wheat, oats, barley, sorghum, chickpeas, corn and soybeans being grown and extensive cattle grazing, sheep, wool and pig production occurring in the area.

More than 8,000 people reside in the town and shire. The towns of Toobeah, Bungunya, Talwood, Weengallon, Daymar and Yelarbon are all within easy driving distance of Goondiwindi and have their own diverse and unique interests for the traveller.
