Transitioning to University - Parents are you ready?

Gateway To Training and Goondiwindi State High School are hosting a FREE Parent Information Evening with Thérèse Eddy.  The evening will be for parents, young people and teachers who would like more information on how to make a successful transition from a rural secondary school to tertiary education.

Thérèse Eddy, founder of Open to Success, and with 40 years’ experience studying, working and living on university campuses, provides sound advice on what parents can do to support their children as they transition to university.

Thérèse’s experience includes:

  • working in both secondary and tertiary education;

  • Deputy and Head of two women’s colleges;

  • lived and worked at a University of Queensland men’s college for thirteen years; and

  • a student and sessional lecturer at the Queensland University of Technology.

Thérèse spent much of her youth in Goondiwindi and is acutely aware of the concerns and worries parents have as they set their children on the path to what they hope is a successful future.

Thérèse is very dedicated to helping people to be the best they can and connects easily with people from all walks of life.  To learn more about Therese, her experience and qualifications and for more information about the services Open to Success provides, visit or connect to Thérèse on Facebook
