Introduction To Excel
Introduction to Microsoft Excel is a two night course designed to provide a solid introduction for those new to spreadsheets, and for those self-taught users wanting to enhance their knowledge.
This course is designed to give the spreadsheet user a thorough grounding in the basics of spreadsheets and using Microsoft Excel. The importance of accuracy, good formula building techniques and sound formatting and design of spreadsheets will be emphasised throughout this course.
Upon completion of this course you will be able to:

Identify the main features of the Excel screen

Customise basic settings

Use the toolbars and the menu commands

Create a new workbook/ spreadsheet

Understand, create and work with formulas and functions used to perform calculations

Adjust and format worksheets

PREREQUISITE: Basic computer literacy is a prerequisite for this course. Participants must be able to start a computer, use a mouse, open and close folders, print and shut down the computer.
