Licence to Operate a Forklift Truck
This unit is based on the National Standard for Licensing Persons Performing High Risk Work. It involves the skills and knowledge required to operate a forklift including checking forklift condition; driving the forklift; monitoring site conditions; and maintaining forklift performance.

Compliance with WHS licensing legislation

Communication and work safety with others in the work area

Hazard identification and control

Conduct pre-start-up, operational, shut down and secure checks according to procedures

Operate the forklift truck and move loads safely including driving, maneuvering, picking up and placing loads at various stack heights

Pre-requisite
Must be over 18 years.
There is no entry requirement for this qualification however it is recommended that students have sufficient literacy, numeracy and visual interpretation skills to successfully complete this course
All students studying nationally recognised training in Australia are required to have a Unique Student Identifier (USI) – GTT can assist you with this.
Qualification
On successful completion of this licence course, participants will be issued a Statement of Attainment TLILIC0003 Licence to operate Forklift Truck.
