Firearms Safety
The object of the Firearms Safety training course is to encourage all sections of the community to practise firearms safety and ensure that all persons prior to being granted a shooter’s licence have received basic firearms safety training and instruction in basic safe firearm handling procedures.
You may be new to the sport of shooting; you may be an old hand; you may be a rifle shooter, a shotgun shooter or an air rifle shooter, it does not matter. All of the firearms safety rules and safe handling procedures discussed are the same for whatever type of firearm you intend to use. You can learn from this course and put into practice the firearm safety rules to enjoy the sport of shooting.
This accredited firearms safety training is a prerequisite to obtaining a Queensland Firearms licence. Please note that an additional payment to Queensland Police Services is required to obtain a firearms licence and is subject to eligibility requirements.
