Looking to get your Queensland boat licence or jet ski licence so you can hit the water with friends and family?
You’ll need to complete the BoatSafe training and accreditation program at GTT in Goondiwindi so that you can apply for your Queensland Recreational Marine Driver’s Licence.
This training includes theory training and assessment plus a practical session where you get to drive the supplied 5.7 metre Quintrex tinny to complete the required assessment tasks including docking and figure eight manoeuvres.

Certification
This training is delivered in partnership with an RTO. Assessments and subsequent Statements of Attainment are provided by the RTO, along with a licence application form for you to take to Queensland Transport to obtain your licence. (Licence fee is not included).
Valid for 12 months.
Course Delivery
Face-to-face training which is both interesting and fun. You’ll have a 2.5 hour theory training and assessment session on the Friday evening followed by practical training and assessment on the Saturday or Sunday following. You can indicate your preferred practical session upon booking.
When you enrol you must complete a medical fitness disclosure statement. If you are concerned about your medical fitness, please contact us.
Prerequisites
- Must be at least 16 years old
- Complete the online theory component provided before session
- Basic knowledge and understanding of English (written and verbal)
- Proof of ID (such as driver’s licence, passport or birth certificate)
- You must hold a current Boat Licence to complete your Jet Ski Licence.
