Responsible Management of a Licensed Venues


The Responsible Management of Licensed Venues (RMLV) course is a one day face to face course.

This is a mandatory course in Queensland, coordinated in accordance with guidelines specified by the Office
of Liquor and Gaming Regulation (OLGR).


Within licensed premises this course must be completed by the licencee or any applicants for an Approved Manager's Licence. 


Other staff members who may benefit from this course include:

  • Assistant Managers

  • Trainee Managers

  • Bar and Duty Managers

  • Supervisors within a Food and Beverage Team

  • Senior staff members keen to enhance their knowledge and skills


The RMLV course provides training to comply with the Liquor Act, whilst learning how to manage a venue professionally.  Overall this course will contribute to minimising harm on licensed premises and clarifying the responsibilities and obligations of all involved in the supervision and management of the venue.


Under the current legislation the RMLV course needs to be renewed every three (3) years.
